The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one…and the needs of the many have spoken: it’s time for a Star Trek play/drinking game!
You wrote a Star Trek play? YES. Yes, I did.
THREE TO BEAM UP is the very first full length play I ever wrote (16 years ago) about a father who thinks he’s the captain of a starship. And I want you to come geek out with me and partake in my humiliation as I offer up this play to the public for the first time in 16 years.
No attempts have been made to update or improve the script in any way, which means we will need some wine and beer to get through this together.
THERE’S A DRINKING GAME? YES. Yes there is.
The rules are simple: Take a drink for each Star Trek reference, bad joke or pun, on-the-nose dialogue, overused cliche, outdated reference to technology, or far fetched plot twist. Basically any evidence of my sophomoric attempts at writing gets a drink.
I will provide some wine and beer and snacks, but feel free to BBYOB (Boldly Bring Yo Beverage) and we’ll have a kick ass time together!
THIS EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
No reservations. Just SHOW THE FUCK UP. I mean..I would be most delighted by your company.
