This past weekend I went away with the 52nd Street Project on a playwriting retreat for their upcoming show “Apples and Oranges.” This marks my fifth show with the project, three for writing and now two for directing/dramaturging. It was also my second time back to Stone Ridge, NY, which I was really excited about since
In June I’ll be directing a wonderful play written by the wonderful Kari Bentley-Quinn. You can make reservations by clicking here.
It’s my turn to write another post for the Public Theater blog. I decided to write about my experiences volunteering at the 52nd Street Project. You can read the original post here. In 2009, I got an email from Megan Cramer, Associate Artistic Director of the 52nd Street Project, asking if I’d like to volunteer
I was honored to b asked to direct/dramaturg Kari Bentley Quinn’s new play “The Unlikely Ascent of Sybil Stevens.” Kari a smart, sharp, and funny playwright and her new play is great. Packawallop asked us to interview each other, so we did.
I was asked to put together a video for HOW SOON IS NOW? An evening of short plays addressing the issue of violence against LGBTQ teens written by members of The Pack, Packawallop’s artistic home for the collaborative development of new work. Will post photos soon. But please check out the video!
